Sunshiney happiness

...Sunshine...

Aaaahh, what a beautiful day! I seem to have walked and walked and walked, and thought and talked and walked again. Met up with a few great friends, bumped in to a couple of lovely reletives and worked with some really nice kids, teaching them how to use special effects make up.
Spent yesterday in Manchester's sunshine, feeling good. I went for my penultimate jab - Japanese Encephalitis! A guy there was telling me of all the threats of kidnap, rape, murder, muggings ...etc... in countrys like Nepal, and a man scowled at me for happily whistling to 'Traveling Wilburys' in the co-op; but it was a mighty fine day all the same.

I love my life.

This love tends to come in leaps and bounds, but I hope to always remember how good it can be.

That's all,

Zara

P.S. I'm going to Kathmandu in (technically with it being early-early Thursday) 7 days!!!!!!!!!!!

P.P.S. Love Music Hate Racism was fantastic. Responsibility feels good when things work out despite the hiccups :)

P.P.P.S. This human being makes me happy every day

"Love Music Hate Racism"

Hello!

I know I set this up for when I'm in Nepal... but I have a lot on at the moment and feel like writing it down, even if it's just for my own future reference!

Recently, I agreed to be involved with the next "Love Music Hate Racism" after having enjoyed helping out at the last one so much. I said that I would play a set (I'm one of the many acoustic guitar playing singer songwriters in the area), join in with the MCing between acts and help manage the page on Facebook/answer any questions on there along with my lovely friend Hannah.

Sinse then, we've taken on the responsibility of ordering the set list, sorting out times and change overs, taken on ALL MCing for the acoustic section and getting in touch with the newspapers/LMHR .....basically the whole acoustic section of the day!

It's really good experience and actually really fun (especially as we hold our meetings at The Red Triangle Cafe with their amazingly tasty veggie food!!!!) but it's really stressful at the moment. It's really hard to organise an event without annoying anyone or hurting any feelings. It's quite horrible....

Thankfully everything has come together and it should be a really good do!! I'm looking forward to playing a set before I go away too!

I'll be on the plane to Nepal in 13 days now!

Everything is just mad! I need to get a lot sorted yet, but I reckon I have time enough to get it done! I've been really ill recently (for about a month!!!) with migranes, stomach bug, flu, sickness.... (you name it!!) as a result of the ridiculous amount of jabs I've had!!!!

I only have two left though!!! Hopefully I won't react too badly to them as they're the second doses of MMR and Japanese Encephalitis! If I do... I will try and get Matt to nurse me better again as he does the best job!! :)

That's all for now.....
This week has been nice apart from some mental (and quite horrific) dreaming, but I think any description on here would make people look at me in a different way... so I won't go in to it!!
Seeeeeeeeeeeeeee ya
